San Angelo State Park

San Angelo State Park is the perfect place to camp and hike. There are more than 300 campsites available at this park, along with showers and restrooms. The park also has 10 miles of hiking trails for visitors to enjoy. Camping at San Angelo State Park is a great way to have fun with family and friends.

There are many different types of campsites available, including primitive tent sites, RV camping sites, and cabins that can be rented out for the night or week. There is plenty of water at this park; however, visitors should not drink straight from any natural source without boiling or filtering first due to possible contamination from wildlife or human activity.


Abilene State Park

Abilene State Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Texas. It’s situated on the Clear Fork of the Brazos River and offers visitors a chance to enjoy camping, fishing, horseback riding, and picnicking. The park also has a large equestrian center where visitors can board their horses or bring their own for some trail rides.

The park has a number of hiking trails as well as a 25-mile equestrian trail that loops around the park. If you want to go horseback riding in Abilene State Park, make sure you check out the equestrian center first.


Big Spring State Park

Big Spring State Park is located in northern Tom Green County on the western edge of San Angelo. The park was established in 1935 and features a former swimming area that has been converted into a lake for fishing and boating. The park also includes hiking trails, picnic areas, a playground, and campsites.

Big Spring State Park is a great place to relax by the lake or take advantage of the hiking trails. The park offers four miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.
